Upcoming events...

An exhibit from Oregon Black Pioneers, “A Man Called York” explores the life and experiences of York: an enslaved man who took part in the Lewis and Clark Expedition from 1803-1806. Learn about his life beyond the expedition and his place within national African American history. “A Man Called York” will be on display at the Tillamook County Pioneer Museum through February 28.

Our County's History...

The history of Tillamook County serves as a reminder of the diverse people who have called it home. From the earliest Native American settlements, to our earliest explorers and pioneers, to the history-makers of today, this stretch of the north Oregon coast is a living memorial to those who came before. Tillamook County’s rich history is preserved for all to enjoy at the Tillamook County Pioneer Museum.
