Field Trips
The Tillamook County Pioneer Museum and Kilchis Point Reserve are ideal locations for field trips. The Museum houses 19 exhibit spaces, covering a wide range of topics, inside the second county courthouse built in 1905. Kilchis Point Reserve is a historically & culturally important site on the North Oregon Coast to the Tillamook people and European settlers.

It's easy to schedule a Field Trip!
Educators & Field Trip Facilitators are required to complete the Field Trip Request Form at least 3 weeks prior to the visit. Once you've received confirmation from the TCPM Staff, you're ready to mark the calendar for your field trip!
Please reach out to Jenny Teece, Exhibit & Program Developer, at [email protected] if you have any questions or issues accessing the request form.

Sensory Pack Program
Tillamook County Pioneer Museum is a wonderful place for visitors to learn about the history and cultures of Tillamook County. However, a trip to the Museum can be a stressful or overwhelming experience for people who identify as neurodivergent. The Sensory Pack Program (SPP) offers Museum visitors tools and resources to foster an inclusive space for all members of our community.
TCPM has four (4) Sensory Packs available to aid individuals in having a full and enriching trip. They include noise-cancelling headphones, sunglasses, liquid-motion timers, fidget tools, and picture-enhanced communication cards. The Museum asks SPP participants to Be Responsible, Be Honest, and Be Respectful. We trust our visitors to inform staff and/or volunteers if something is broken or missing. SPP participants will not be held responsible for any usual wear and tear. Any damages will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Jenny Teece, Exhibit & Program Developer, at [email protected] with any concerns or suggestions. |
