For the past century they've become famous for award-winning cheeses, ice creams, and other Tillamook® dairy products. Tillamook Air Museum - See one of America's finest collections of over 30 War Birds including a P-38 Lightning, F4U-Corsair, P51-Mustang, PBY Catalina and SBD Dauntless dive bomber. They also house an exhibit hall that features rare historical wartime and aviation artifacts, including pieces of the great German airship the Hindenburg and a WWII Luftwaffe flight All housed in a rare World War II Blimp Hangar...the largest wooden structure in the world!www.tillamookair.com

The Garibaldi Maritime Museum - Maritime History, founded in 1986 by Charles M. Parkin Jr, co-author of Captain Gray and the Pacific Northwest, is a 7,000 square foot building of post and beam construction with cathedral ceilings, skylights and stained glass windows. The museum features the story of Captain Robert Gray, with models of the sloop Lady Washington and the ship Columbia, the two vessels that made this courageous trip around the horn to seek fur trade with China, are on display. www.garibaldimuseum.org

The Tillamook Forest Center - This is a new educational and recreational resource 20 minutes east of Tillamook in the heart of the Tillamook State Forest. The center hosts a wealth of innovative exhibits and programs about the Tillamook Burn and reforestation through interactive displays. www.tillamookforestcenter.org

Cape Meares State Scenic Viewpoint - is located 10 miles west of Tillamook on the north end of the beautiful Three Capes Scenic Loop. Features within the park include the Cape Meares Lighthouse, an informational kiosk, interesting viewpoints where the visitor can view the off-shore rocks for native birds and the annual whale migration, the Three Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge, nature trails, and the famous Octopus Tree. www.capemeareslighthouse.org
